Hand built double-orb shaped vase with moon, eye, star and moth relief on the surface. Glazed inside to hold water and living things, but dried and found treasures like feathers or cinnamon sticks can also make their home in this little vase.
A little box hand built with black speckled clay and topped with a leaf holding a tiny star. Made to hold tiny treasures (like a selection of the finest peas or a small stone).
This piece sat unglazed for a long time while I tried to decide what to do (lots of complicated ideas!)–and of course, stars. Hand built with very groggy clay; hand painted with raw stars peering through matte blue underglaze. When you open and close the box, it makes a sound like pebbles brushing together. Made slowly in Naarm to hold palm-sized treasures, or many little things (pearls, popcorn kernels, retired coins etc).
